In the opening scene of 50 cents get rich or die trying, the movies first starts with the introduction of the film company’s and studio that have created the film. This instantly stood out for me because I saw a house hold company that I have seen many times before and that was Paramount so this instantly made me assume the film was going good. Then one of 50 cents songs start playing but and the opening credits start to appear; the use of rap music was affective because the song was very gritty and violent this instantly makes me think that the movies is going to be full of violence. This first clip we see in this scene is the traffic on a road through the of a side mirror this allows the audience to establish the area where the movies is set. Then we see a close up of 50 cents face for a second and this allows us to focus on his facial features and I noticed how serious he was and made me assume that he may be the bad guy, also he is the first character you see in the movie so this allows me to make the inference that he is the main character. And then one by one you see a close up of the other character’s in the car the first thing I noticed all the men with a aggressive look on their face are all black males and the one person who look scared is a Latino boy this conforms the medias stereotype of being aggressive black males. Then you see a twos shot of 50 cent holding a gun and the hostage sitting down this highlights to me as a audience member that something bad is going to happen.

This clip is from the James bond movie casino Royale. This movie was released in 2006 and was directed Martin Campbell. The genre of this film is an action thriller.
James bond movies comes under the genre of action this means that there will be fighting scenes in this film and there will also be a thrilling story line. From the begging of the scene you can notice that the film is an action movie this is due to the fighting scene at the beginning in this scene the stereotypical view of women being weak and dependent on male strength is subverted because instead of the women needing help from James bond it is the other way around and she is helping him instead; And this also subverts the view of the men being powerful and strong due to the fact that he is laying on the floor like he has been restricted of all movement.
By the use of a close up you can see the seductive side to James Bond, by showing this it conforms the stereotypical view of men being smooth and sexual and it also conforms the view of women being a sex symbol. Also the of blood on bonds shirt showed me a subliminal message because the color red can symbolize love and danger son it could be showing the audience that bonds love is dangerous.
This table was created as part of my genre research although there are more genres these 3 genres are very popular with the public. The information that I found of in my research was very useful because it gave me an insight as to what consists in the genre. This good for me and my group when considering our film opening because some genres will be harder to recreate then other. such as fantasy movies require allot thought and creativity for the story line also for fantasy films you need a fictional set and also costume.
these pictures represent the recreation of the superman scene. for this scene my group had to take pictures from a superman scene and re-create the pictures. we had to find places in the school that can relate to the places in the scene.we picked the textiles room to be a re-interpretation.
This video is of the preliminary task me and my group members had to participate in. For this task we had to demonstrate
this video is of the pitch that me andmy group members made infront of our class. in my pitch me and my group had to speak about why we picked our genre, where we are going to film, what costumes wear. I thinkr that my pitch was sucsesful because me and my group were able to tell our audience what our aim and effectivley inform them how we would achive our aim.
